Humans

As Humans we seem to be the only beings that learn to completely abandon our endless capacity to love, forgive, feel, and know each other purely. Once ego rears its adolescent head, it is every woman and man for themselves. Romance dwindles into spotty memories, and the joy of being near each other stales with mental distance. We stop seeing the power and beauty in each other which contaminates our vision of the same in ourselves. The surrender to the bright, warm excitement and innocent anticipation to see each other falls into a dusk…a slow death of mediocrity.
I believe that is why some of us rescue abused and deserted pets. It’s the feeling that we are protecting and preserving the only remaining essence of pure love. Ironically, its animals that reconnect us to the best part of being Human. #thepathofdavid #8:9:18
