I am very excited to share that La Otra has been nominated for five 2026 Barrymore Awards. One of the nominations, I’m honored to say is for myself for Outstanding Supporting Performance in a Play. This role was very special for me to prepare for as it lived in between worlds. I played a version of Kenny Rogers that lived in the hearts and minds…and house, of a Columbian family struggling with forgiveness, regret, anger, and escapism. Through music, wise spoken words, and transformation in a mystical creature, my (Kenny Rogers) presence was woven through the story binding, clarifying, and enlightening moments between the three main sisters. Allowing each other to be exactly who they are and protecting the bond that is family, was what the sisters were able to come away with. It was an honor to be a part of such an special story, and now even more of an honor to be recognized by the Barrymore’s for the work.
